HDF regards itself as the political umbrella organisation of the Turkish Social Democrats in Europe. It is a non-party organisation, founded in Berlin, Germany, on 29 October 1977. HDF comprises under one roof the social democratic local branches of the Federal Republic of Germany, England, The Netherlands, Belgium and Austria.It is HDF's declared goal to achieve a peaceful coexistence of people from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds enabling them to live together without discrimnation of minorities. HDF is highly committed to the indispensable principles of freedom and democracy. HDF advocates the principles of liberty, justice and solidarity. |
